Lenovo never backs down regarding design, portability, and lightweightness. It has consistently delivered an exceptional performance, eaten, and left no crumbs. Its sleek yet minimalistic and eye-catching designs are to vouch for and it has done the same with this latest Yoga series laptop.

It is of a beautiful cosmic blue color with a sleek metallic blue finish and aluminum chassis. It meets military-grade MIL-STD-810H durability standards so it’s tough yet stylish.  Starting at just 2.82 lbs (1.28 kg) in weight and 12.8 x 8.8 x 0.51 inches in dimensions, it sure is thin and light and is comparable to Macbook Air 13 M3.

2. Ports

The ports in this laptop are not so optional as they try to attain a minimalistic style. It seems to have 5 ports and slots combined, three of which are USB-C® Full-Function (40Gbps, PD 3.1, DP 1.4), two on the right and one on the left for charging. Since one is for charging only, you have to adjust to only 2 other ports, and it lacks USB Type-A ports. So if you are using any external USB or hard drive, it is recommended to use an adapter for such needs. It also does not have a headphone jack.  It also has a Webcam e-Privacy shutter switch.

Overall, it tries to adapt to modern preferences but does not adapt to the overall mass preference for USB Type-A ports.

3. Display

One of the most talked-about and elevated features seems to be display. Lenovo truly worked on the next level, making display thinking of creative minds.

It facets the 14.5-inch OLED touch display with 3K (2,944 x 1,840) at 90 Hz in 10 Hz resolution with Dolby Vision. It hits 1000 nits of peak brightness. This OLED has a 100% sRGB/P3 color gamut and is a Delta E < 1 with excellent color accuracy. It offers TUV Low Blue Light and EyeSafe certifications. The only drawback seems to be reflection. Well, everything has pros and cons.

4. Keyboard, Touchpad and Webcam

The thing that Lenovo worked on the most was the keyboard and touchpad experience. It is all just smooth and satisfying. It lays perfect keycap size and spaces with 1.5 mm key travel and.3 .3mm dish keycaps. The keyboard is tough and grease-resistant, helping you in your fast and furious typing experience. Even the touchpad with a soft matte texture is pretty smooth and roomy. It also has a decent webcam, with features like autofocus, blurred background, and many more, along with a webcam privacy shutter feature.

5. Performance

One thing is for sure: Lenovo laptops have constantly improved their performance. With the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor, Lenovo is playing its A-game. Its next-generation Neural Processing Unit (NPU) delivers up to an industry-leading 45 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for running  LLMs (large language models). Snapdragon X Elite also seems faster than the Macbook Air’s M3 chipset, an astonishing win. It is quick and smart, with exceptional power efficiency with everyday tasks and a multifaceted display and experience of your creative juices.

6. Battery Life

Lenovo has been consistent with its battery life, and this one sure keeps up to our expectations with a whopping 14 hours and 14 minutes of battery life. Though battery consumption depends on the tasks you are performing, the bizarre combination of its Snapdragon X Elite chipset and battery has made it easy to decrease high battery life consumption. Even during gaming, it has performed well in mid- to minimal settings depending on the games, despite not being a precise gaming laptop with its battery life.

7. Audio

The laptop seems to have decent audio, powered with 4 Dolby Atmos speakers and even 4 noise-canceling microphones, helping with the spatial audio. You don’t have to go beyond 60% to hear music and gaming sounds. Overall, Lenovo claims to provide studio-quality sound for all your musical beats and gaming banter.

8. Creative Tools

The main focus seems to be on being creative and on creators. It comes with a free 2-month membership to Adobe Creative Cloud, which means no payment. If you already happen to be a member, then the existing payment will be paused for two months. The PureSight OLED even gives you a 100% sRGB/P3 color game with brilliant color accuracy. It hits 1000 nits of peak brightness, and it also hits 785 nits at 100% in HDR. All these features are very well crafted for all the artists and creators out there, and integrated Qualcomm Adreno graphics provides the best it can.

9. Green Sustainability

Lenovo this time has sparred no effort on global green sustainability. It claims to make it as environmentally friendly as possible, trying to reduce global warming issues indirectly caused by most electronic devices like laptops. And with this laptop, it seems its claims are true.

It is sustainably stylish with plastic-free packaging, as its packaging boxes are FSC-certified and use dry-pressed paper pulp. It uses rapidly renewable material bamboo fiber, which is bio-based. Most of the hardware parts are made of recycled materials, with 90% post-consumer plastics in the power adapter and half in the keyboard with a 50% recycled aluminum base, contributing to a more plastic-free and cleaner planet. With Lenovo CO2 offset function, you can reduce the emission of CO2 throughout the lifecycle of your laptop, contributing to reduced harmful gas production.

10. Software and AI Features

Alongside all the hype for other features, this particular feature that is hyped is AI features along with co-pilot. So, it includes the Neural Processing Unit and locally runs the Co-Pilot AI features personalized for your need in a keyboard. It also has a new Live Creator, which helps generate visual interpretation of your text and image prompts. It also locks down your privacy even more now that you are guarding it, meaning even your security is improved. It also includes a Lenovo AI-core chip to handle all your heavy loads during 3D rendering or running other heavy tasks.

The feature that has not been launched yet but will soon come alive is the recall function alongside Co-Pilot. With this function, you can track your old laptop activity timeline without a hitch. Overall, it tries to strike a perfect balance between AI and performance for heavy tasks.

11. Price

With a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 CPU, Integrated Qualcomm Adreno graphics, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, the base version starts at around $1,199. An upgraded and premium version with an increase in storage of up to 1 TB starts at $1,289. With its minimalist, charming design coated with aluminum chassis and metallic finish being lightweight, it soars the design charts. With its processors and display, the keyboard and keypad experience, along the AI+Co-Pilot feature, make up for the pricing set.

Conclusive Outlook

Conclusively, it is a good laptop, meeting all your daily needs.  It provides the ultimate display with smooth performance, along with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.  It is a very good choice for creative artists for editing and rendering, with the ability to handle heavy tasks. It has decent battery life with Dolby speakers. Lack of USB Type-A ports for linking external hard- drives is directly impossible and it is recommended to use an adapter. Aside from that, it has 3 USB Type C ports, one on the left for charging, and a webcam privacy shutter camera switch, This laptop is a decent choice at this price range.

It also offers 4 high-quality speakers without a headphone jack port. It supports 3D rendering and heavy tasks, along with some lightweight gaming. However, the graphic card seems to be a little inferior compared to others in the market. With the Co-Pilot feature now available locally and other AI and privacy features, it has upgraded its A game.

Since it was recently released and the market is vast, it is recommended to wait before immediately buying the laptop because you need to compare it with other products on the market at the same price range.
